The Tech Stack - An Informal Introduction.

Kyle Brierley

Hey - I'm Kyle, and this is The Tech Stack. The best technology, stacked for growth.

This is a new tool in your tool belt. Use it to discover, learn, and stack the latest in advertising technology. You and your company probably have a ton of disparate systems doing a ton of different things. I'll do my best to help you find the coolest new technology, and the best stack based on your goals.

Here's my plan for the site:

  1. Identify the latest & greatest platforms within broad buckets of tech.
  2. Give you unbiased reviews of the platforms with your typical pros/cons, then rank them.
  3. Build example "stacks" you can use, and identify platforms that work best with your current stack.

I like simple, and don't have time to read long articles. My guess is you agree. Here's a few promises I'll (try to) keep:

  • I like bulleted/numbered lists. I'll always give you the boiled down version,  not wordy rants about ethereal bullsh*t.
  • I like real examples. I'll give you real use cases on campaigns I've run, tech I've used, and problems I encounter.
  • I like casual. I added an asterisk to bullshit in the first bullet as a courtesy for new comers.

It's a team effort here, and this is one guy's opinion. With your feedback and use cases we can collaborate to build an unbiased and brand-agnostic knowledge base that simplifies "the tech stack".

You'll dig this site if you're:

  • A media geek like me. I obsess over the latest technology that can bring my off the wall campaign ideas to life.
  • A tech nerd like me. I crave more complex platforms and integrations to feed my hunger for knowledge and tools.
  • A student of the industry like me. I'm not an expert on anything, but I am an expert at problem solving.
  • A seller of sorts like me. We're all in sales whether it's internal or external, and the more we know about the products we sell, the better we are at solving clients' problems.

The content is original, and not being paid for by brands. You're smart, and know that at some point I'll add some advertising opportunities (duh). I'll let you know when you're seeing ads, and if it's sponsored content. My goal isn't to get rich off this site, so I'll only bring on advertisers that fit the mission statement - the best technology, stacked for growth.
